As part of an international climate research project, we refined an existing sediment sampling technology for use in greater depths and deployed it successfully.
The mechanism shown allows for the placement of samplers in the sediment of lakes. It was employed at several locations related to hydropower stations in Brazil. We did all development and design work as well as the manufacturing and provided support on-site. All materials used are suitable for freshwater use and were chosen with respect to minimal impact on the environment.
